Miss Kim Lilac - yes you can grow Lilacs in the south. Choose this variety. My whole yard smells amazing. 

Iris - this is the Best year for blooms in 15 yrs.

One of my very favorite places is a Garden Center and Gift Shop in Jemison, Alabama - Petals from the Past.  Not only do they have antique Roses, but they have Beautiful Gardens to walk through and find ideas. This place is a Beautiful Oasis of Inspiration for your Home and Garden. Enjoy!

Meet Sophia from esbe Designs, the new Jewelry company by Sara Blaine. I think this will be one of my "Go-to" Collections. The earrings, necklace and Bracelet are made in Bali from Bronze and Sterling Chinese Coins with Bronze chains.  The Bracelet also has chocolate pearls!

What do you get when Gus Mayer and  StyleBlueprint host an event that celebrates their "Faces of a Birmingham?"  A fun Night of Shopping, wine, hors d'oeuvres, Door Prizes and meeting some of the city's most fascinating people! I was there in support of my friend and stylist, Tracy James of Chic Made Simple . She is one the Faces of Birmingham as well as the Style Contributor for B Metro magazine as well as StyleBlueprint.

B Metro is Birmingham's Premier Lifestyle magazine and they are always hosting events around town.  You can keep up with all the other Happenings in Birmingham in their B There Section.

I found Tracy through StyleBlueprint - one of my favorite online resources for Women in the South. I gifted myself a 3 Hour Closet Makeover from her!  I turned 50 this year and needed a lot of help figuring out what to wear as a 50 yr. old single mom and Rep for a Jewelry Designer.  She was amazing and taught me so much about how to look my best. I have since become friends with Tracy and I attended Last night's event to support her!  She even offered to help me shop while we were there!! Her articles, Blog, and Services will make sure you always feel good about yourself!
