Wednesday's Wisdom

I went Home for Thanksgiving. There's nothing like it! So Blessed to still have a Home to go to. My kids were anxious to go too - our first Thanksgiving as a family of 3 instead of 4. My Parents are so good at welcoming us and making Everything ok for all of us. We moved to this house in 1971 and even the next door neighbor Sally is still there. My parents have talked about moving into a much smaller place and I understand that, but for now, there is nothing more comforting and healing than returning to the Nest and sleeping well - finally - in my old room. There is Love here, it's Unconditional. There is Support, Acceptance, Stability, Tradition and things I can't even put into words.

My dad sent me this picture from the driveway. He's discovered how to text photos - he's 80 yrs old and texting photos - I love that!

Coming Home from the movie Country Strong

                                                              It’s a four letter word

a place you go to heal your hurt
It’s an altar,  it’s a shelter
One place you’re always welcome
a pink flamingo, double wide
One bedroom in a high rise
a mansion on a hill
Where the memories always will
keep you company
whenever you’re alone
after all of my running
I’m finally coming
Home
The world tried to break me
I found a road to take me
Home
There aint nothing but a blue sky now
After all of my running
I’m finally coming
Home

Well they say it's where the heart is
and I guess the hardest part is
when your heart is broken
and you’re lost out in the great wide open
looking for a map
finding your way back
to where you belong
well that’s where I belong

Home
The world tried to break me
I found a road to take me
Home
There aint nothing but a blue sky now
After all of my running
I’m finally coming
Home…
Home…

Home
The world tried to break me
I found a road to take me
Home
There aint nothing but a blue sky now
After all of my running
I’m finally coming
After all of my running
I’m finally coming
Home
