Wednesday's Wisdom

Have you ever cried in front of friends? In a restaurant? And some of those friends are brand new friends? And after you are done crying, you think, oh those poor women, they are not going to want to hang out with me anymore. And then you find out they do? That's a Beautiful Thing.
Sometimes the tears come in a public place when you open yourself up to what Truth needs to be dealt with RIGHT NOW, or you won't be able to go on. Sometimes you need people in your life, who force you to see that truth because they so desperately want you to Love yourself.

“Crying is all right in its way while it lasts. But you have to stop sooner or later, and then you still have to decide what to do.”
C.S. Lewis, The Silver Chair

“I wept because I could not believe anymore and I love to believe. I can still love passionately without believing. That means I love humanly. I wept because from now on I will weep less. I wept because I have lost my pain and I am not yet accustomed to its absence.”
Anaïs Nin

“God gave us crying so other folks could see when we needed help, and help us.”
Joshilyn Jackson, Gods in Alabama

  1. I love this post...your tears didn't scare me away in the least...I was so glad you were surrounded by people at that time who "desperately want you to love yourself." xoxoxo See you tonight!

  2. My theory is you wouldn't be a true woman, if you didn't have a good cry at least once a month. It lets the pressure out that we hold in all too often! Feel free to call me a cry baby if you disagree. lol Love you!
